How do I charge a prorated tuition from the enroll form?Support Home
In this answer, the term "Tuition" will be used to mean a program's scheduled Auto-Billing fee.
Where can I configure prorated tuition?
If you have access to manage your programs, you can find a section called "Prorating" in a program's settings. Your programs management page can be found in your "My Company" settings. Or click here to go to your programs management page.
💡 Click on the program's pencil icon to edit.
What do the different options do?
You can choose between "Off", "Prorated Tuition", or "Tuition with no prorating".
Use this setting to not collect payment for tuition from the enroll form after the program's tuition start date or in the middle of an Auto-Billing cycle. With this setting, you are committing to the manual process of calculating and posting a prorated tuition charge and payment upon every enrollment of this kind.
- Prorated Tuition
Use this setting to require payment for tuition from the enroll form after the program's tuition start date or in the middle of an Auto-Billing cycle. In order for Enrollsy to be able to calculate which days were missed and which days need to be paid from the enroll form, you will need to set the dates the program runs.
Here is an example of a program that recurs Monday - Friday every week, but takes major holidays off:
- Tuition with no prorating
Use this setting to collect payment for tuition from the enroll form after the program's tuition start date or in the middle of an Auto-Billing cycle at regular price. No consideration of missed days will be factored in.
Here's a real world scenario
Let's say your program Auto-Bills every 25th of the month and you have an enrollment come in on the 10th. Let's also say your program only runs weekly on Tuesdays. Using the "Prorated Tuition" option, the enroll form can be configured to only count the Tuesdays within those fifteen days. It will use that ratio to charge a reduced tuition price.
